CUB to offer lower prices for new 2027 model Weekender and Explorer campers
Aug 12, 2026
With the current economic conditions, it’s refreshing to see an Australian manufacturer able to reduce the retail prices on some new models whilst adding base inclusions; a situation CUB campers has found themselves able to achieve for their 2027 model Weekender and Explorer campers. The 2027 Weekender will start with an introductory price from $23,990 and the Explorer $26,990 both plus dealer and delivery fees. This means both models are now $6,000 less than last year’s prices which is around a 20% saving for an Australian built light-weight camper.
“By working closely with our local suppliers, we have made some economies of scale breakthroughs in our buying power, combined with our design advances in the Weekender and Explorer, this has resulted in cost savings we can pass onto the customer,” said Scott Dillon, from CUB Campers. “Our design team has worked tirelessly to evolve our campers, learning from customer feedback and this has resulted in the inclusion of a fridge box as standard plus a new MyCoolman energy power station which we are very excited to include in the 2027 models.”
The My Coolman Energy Power Station carries the inverter onboard, so 240V is immediately available and has the added benefit of being portable and app-monitored. The MyCoolman Energy Power Station specs include 1008Wh (78Ah), LiFePO4- 2000 cycles, 1000w pure-sine inverter with MPPT solar input, 240V fast charge, 2 x 240V sockets, USB-A/C, 12V DC and Anderson plug all covered by a 3-year warranty. Owners can choose to upgrade to a 150Ah MyCoolman powerpack with a 2000W pure-sine inverter (4000W boost) again with a 3-year warranty.
“Our goal is to continue to offer increasing value for our Australian built campers and caravans in a market seeing an increase in fully imported or flat-packed imported products,” said Scott.
“We just need to keep reminding customers that Australian built campers and caravans are built and designed specifically for our harsh Australian conditions, our corrugated roads, unpredictable weather and the huge distances we cover in our country.”
“And when customers buy Australian, you’re backed by a local manufacturing facility, easy to access spare parts, with CUB a 7-year structural manufacturer’s warranty plus strong resale value.” explained Scott.
CUB is Australian made and owned and conscious to support as many Australian businesses as possible when sourcing components, in the 2027 CUB Weekender and Explorer this includes Australian DuraGal steel in the chassis and Australian canvas in the camper tents.
